good evening, I just read an article on how to perform a ground balance adjustment for the garrett ACE 250, what do you think? is it reliable ?

I assume you are asking because you use an ACE250 ? The real test of whether it is useful or not is to follow the guide, and then test it out on weak real-world targets, or test-garden ones. If they become stronger, or ID better, then it's worth trying. It would be helpful if you had a better detector available, that you could do comparisons with, and that would find the deeper targets that would challenge the 250.

That not a ground balance adjustment, it's using the disc feature to ignore the ground response. The response is still there and its R-channel component will reduce sensitivity to real targets.

I use a 250 at the beach and I notch out the 5 cents and it knocks out all the salt response, still get good targets.
