Hug Flight PinPointer
I guess this pinpointer is a chinese state-of-art, but I'll be glad if I can it modified - with your help - that do something usefull. The beeper is mehanical and it produce annoing loud beep, I was trying to replace it with piezo beeper, but then do not work at all.
It can detect 'small' objects only in very near distance, no sensivity at all, if there is no way to modifying it properly (aka new coil, some resistor change, bypassing wire, inserting component, etc...), only the housing seems to be good.
Bigger ferrous object can detect up to 10cm (I mean realy very big), but struggle on all non-ferrous item, distance decrease rapidly.
Device contains lm358 and lm393 and some U1 with marking 'L01 A', mostly smd component is used. Work on 9v power, 30mA and 6.8KHz frequenty (from user manual specification). Coil is single wire on ferrite rod. I dont know on what principe it work, but it work very bad. In attach I put some photo of pcb.
Any idea?
