  • British Army HD7 hand held detector.

    Not sure if these detectors the HD7 hand held made by Guartel are coming onto the market as ex surplus but look robust, not sure if they are PI and how deep they go, it does state on their web page that a 1euro coin can be detected at 80mm in soil, not sure if that good or bad but looks like the soldier in the web page is using it as a kind of pinpointer.     80mm is only 3.1".
    It looks similar to a security wand, so detection distance will be limited.
    Also, running on a PP3 battery with a use time of 40 hours is a clue.

      This is primarily a security wand, and most of those are proximity designs like energy theft. Which have a pretty hard performance wall.
