  • is this a mosfet, jfet or simple transistor

Hi, I dont know if this is the right forum to ask this question, but I am asking it anyways XD

From this xray image, can someone identify me if this is a mosfet, bjt or jfet ? or any other info u can get from it ?

quality is atrocious, but what can u do

    thanks

It appears to be a common TO-92 package, so it could be anything. Not just transistors, but IC's like voltage references, voltage regulators.
The most common thing it could be is an npn bipolar transistor.

I agree it could be anything in a TO92 package.

A drawing of connections, back engineered schematic, may give a much better hint of functionality.

X-ray scanning is a bad idea for microcontrollers, EEPROMs and more technologically advanced electronic components.
The processor and memory after such an operation usually will not get up anymore.
This can be safely done on damaged elements.
Some remember the old memories and processors with a window - there was enough UV radiation to erase; the strength of X-rays is many times greater, and the technology (e.g. 20nm process) is many times more delicate.

hello guys, this is the to-92 packaged transistor, I know this due to the functionality. You guys would be wondering, why I would not just desolder it and test it on transistor tester, the reason is I cant, because the PCB is coated with potted material.
