Sort of "insider". And usually we do exchange pranks and false information!
So... God knows is better me not to ask him anything sane!

At first everything he said me in "confidence" i turned over and reversed and got something closest to truth.
But lately he got smarter than that.
He provides me only obfuscated information lately!
So i do the same to him too!

Clear- as a joke ,,Winter came, and the Indians went to their shaman and asked him:
      - Oh, great shamans, will the winter be hard if we collect a lot of wood?
      - Yes, the winter will be very severe, collect a lot of wood. A week later, the Indians went to their shaman again and asked him:
"Oh, great shamans, we've been gathering wood all week, will we need l ... and more?"
      - A lot of wood will be needed, this winter will be very cold.
After another week, the Indians went to their shaman and asked him again:
"Oh, great shamans, we've been collecting firewood for two weeks now, will we need more?"
      - Collect more, the ghosts predict the coldest winter of 10 ... See more years.
However, the shaman doubted whether the ghosts were lying to him, and decided to go to the meteorologist and make sure. He went to the meteorologist whose station was on the opposite hill asked him:
      - you understand from weather forecasts , tell me, will this winter be hard?
"Oh, oh, it'll be very cold."
      the meteorologist replied.
      "Are you sure?"
      the shaman insisted again.
"If I weren't sure, look at how much wood the Indians collect."
We will find out soon what the current is. If not me, someone else will post pictures from the oscilloscope screen. Then there will be comments, of course.

        That's good one!

        I missed today's Nokta/Makro multi-f presentation! Totally forgot!
Now there is nothing on the page, play symbol, plays nothing when clicked, chat window on the right side.
        No infos?
        Anybody seen anything today?
This is the period of great mysteries in md world!
We seen nothing relevant on XP Deus 2... and i haven't seen nothing at all on new Nokta/Makro multi-f detector!?
        Any picture at all?

Go to the Nokta-Makro Facebook page, it's posted there. Pretty awful to watch.

Facebook just redirects to a youtube video, here is a link:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp6akvE9iZE

Audio is terrible, Dilek's microphone keeps moving around, video feed dropped out several times, they had to pause at one point to fix technical issues, and there's no close-up of the display so you can see what she's talking about. IMO it's a very poor presentation. Detector looks good tho.

XP did it right. Nokta - worst presentation I've ever seen ))

Nothing is known. I don't even have pictures on the fcc id. Everything is top secret..

                Thanks Carl!
                Now i see it.
                Well...
Not ugly design, it is likable one.
                But!
On the other thread/topic i told my story on servicing many Simplex+ detectors so far, changing a speakers.
They suddenly die for no obvious reason.
To replace it; one must strip on the front panel sticker, which is thick and soft plastic material.
Behind it there are "immersed" screws. So tighten up... almost "cemented".
On last one i gave up of trying to unscrew them, in fear i would probably destroy the case.
It's not about tool, i have so much tools alright.
Than the speaker is glued on piece of plastic with some kind of epoxy.
Meaning you can't just put any speaker.
I see here very similar enclosure with similar design. I see problems!
Next bad thing that i noticed is the position of coil connector on the enclosure.
It is too "high" relative to stem. On the real search it often hangs on branches and suffers from sudden pulling and scratching.
At least on the sites i am having here. Bushy areas, hills, forests, lot of short of the ground obstacles.
By the Murphy's law; 99% of such tough obstacles and "hooks" are at the same height as the area of so connected cable.
Problem! You can understand this only if you been in many of such situations. So... bad design, very bad design to put the connector at that height.
As closest the cable and connector are to the stem; the better, no problems at all.
Was it so hard to rearrange the setup to look like this:

Name:	Graphic1.JPG
Views:	1
Size:	211.5 KB
ID:	362125

Next remark, the lower part of the stem, the one coil is attached on. Very flexible, swinging all the time with the "inert" behavior.
It can't cause any serious damage, yet it generates so unpleasant feeling during the detecting.
So, if they followed the same practice as at Simplex+... well well! I see lot of problems in near future.
And i didn't even talk about the detector itself, the true performances. Simplex+ is disappointing.
The new one; obviously i can't tell. Until i test it.

That women is not so bad looking as how much her voice is hysteric.
                  Sound is awful.
"Strategy" of her presentation is not good at all. Often funny and childish statements.
Ok, it comes from non native English speaking area, so i can live with that.
Why they moved the video off their page?
Too high interest and the site is blocked? Probably.
Maybe hackers did a job at last moment and prevented planned presentation?
Whatever the cause; i missed the moment anyway.
                  ...
The more i listen the presentation; more the cocky and bold the claims she says!
You don't mock the competition like that!?
Especially if your claims are not true!
She glorifies the Simplex+s "breakthrough" on market... but they must understand it is just the curiosity, first "wave" of curiosity along with small price.
After several afternoons spent with Simplex+ on the real soil; price becomes irrelevant factor, you realize that even such small price is overkill.
                  Overall pretty disappointing presentation.

Interesting there are three methods at play on DEUS II. Frequency addition, frequency subtraction and conductive Soil subtraction.

No one measured the oscillogram of the current through the transmitter coil of DEUS II ?

                            Interesting..
So most of the modes look like dual freqs, 8 kHz and 5 x 8 = 40 kHz.
                            The lower-freq mix ( was that a high-conductor Park mode? ) was 8 kHz and 3 x 8 = 24 kHz
And the unusual-looking one with the three levels was 4.7 kHz and 3 x 4.7 = 14.1 kHz mainly.
The three levels may be for reduced power consumption, both freqs are lower in amplitude. Running low freqs is known to cause more power drain when you're forcing square signals onto a fixed value inductor.

However, nothing is known about how the signal is generated. What is the level and current Ipp.

It would be easier to follow it with analog osciloscope.
But it is good enough to get the picture.
I can't find where i posted my tries to reproduce such signal with AD9833 controlled with Atmega.
But i see now i was close in my assumptions.
And if i recall right; Carl also was right pointing me on pure square signal instead sinus which i used.
So... actually no mistery and no "speciall effects" in Deus 2.
We kinda assumed it all right, months ago.
