This one looks similar to old Fisher gold bug 2.
It even makes the same squeaks and grunt noises. Maybe it's a clone. There are videos on YouTube.

Funny thing, the specs for the tekpoint 2 show an operating frequency of 19khz, which is exactly the same as gold bug 1. Yet unlike gold bug 1, the tekpoint 2 has discrimination.
The gold bug 2 is @ 71khz.
So maybe it's a hybrid.

Probably a clone of the digital Goldbug which is 19kHz.

Think you're right.
Someone opened up one of those gold bug 2 clones and found the switches and ground balance pot weren't even wired in! Here is the picture. The chip on the PCB looks just same as the gb pro. Without graphic interface.
