  • Minelab coil connector filler material?

    Anyone know what this clear filler material is?
    This is from a GPZ but CTX has something like it too.
    Slightly rubbery.

    Looks very much like silicon sealant. If you wish to replicate, use a sealant that does not contain acetic acid (smells like vinegar) as this will attack the copper

      I think I should have called it potting compound or epoxy. Some just got electronics and high voltage. Wonder how high the voltage gets on GPZ pulses? Should those lines be specially isolated?

        I would guess the voltage spikes are north of 600v. The material seems to me to be a silicone rubber of some kind. It reminds me of the material used in some scuba gear.

          Have a look at this sealant which is manufactures in the US. Should be ideal for purpose.
