The diameter of the coil is 18 cm diameter = 7.08 inches (7 inches)

because:

1 INCH = 2.54 cm

18/2.54 = 7.08 inches

27 turns copper wire 0.6-0.8 mm

Hope 0.7 mm will work OK.

1.6 ohms total resistance.

According the table the wire is 22-20 AWG (0.6-0.8 mm).

Thank-you for the helpfull chart.I just got some old heathkit coil covers im rewinding as we speak, perfect timing !! Im inside working cause it just hit 100 degrees outside. Thanks again . Gene L.
