      P is P-N-P type. N is N-P-N type. THE structure of the transistors. your type seeking is PNP. the emitter's arrow looking inside, at circuits.

          well the detector is fully working again now as it should do. i only replacing the Q7 BS170 transistor first and the detector was working fine when i tested it. so i left it at that.

          i really do appreciate all the help that i have getting from you guys.
