Beat Balance Metal Detector

Is there anybody they know what kind of detector this is. Thomas Scarborough write this article in the EPE magazine of may 2004. I haven't the article.

Go to Google and type in the name of the article and pay $5 to download the May 2004 issue as I did today.

Pretty cool little detector and is a combination of BFO and IB technologies and uses 1 IC!
Check it out.

Hi Rudi,

You should be able to search this forum and find out more about this detector also. There was a couple of posts about it some time back.

A simple schematic was posted at that time also. Check the post on Thursday 29 January 2004, 12:27:08

The "Matchless" is not the beat-balance design. I have the beat-balance article, but don't have permission to post it. You can buy the whole issue directly from EPE.
