  • First site and book about metal detectors on serbo-croatian language

    Hi all,
I was work hard last year, to give my contribution on the popularization treasure hunt sport in countries ex YU. In our region, about metal detecting, are dominating some mystic rules about LRL (laser), disbelieve GPR and Resistivity, etc. I was try, to change it.
So, if somebody interested, hire is a link:

Best wishes to Carl and all, and this forum will be always in my favorites.

    Zeljko,

Congratulations on your book! It's very important though that you get it translated into English so the rest of us can benefit from you research. Any idea how long this will take? I will buy the first copy.

      Jack,

You made a copy of the detector ranges from the well known Polish site - http://free.polbox.pl/d/dark/ - but you didn't tell about that! The table is the bottom part of http://free.polbox.pl/d/dark/testy.htm. Please DO add an apprporiate remark - tell about the sorce of data!!!

Your comment is funny. Minelab etc. are registered trademarks and there is no remark about this!

                Re: Thanks for all inputs

Firs, I had troubles with my internet connection last couple of days, and sorry for late.
Randy, thanks for support, but I can not translate my book so easy.
Pawel, it is truth about tests. My wife, which is young web designer, was make mistake and we shell correct that problem immediately, and replace that wrong page with links to original test sites.
Gene L. my book was taking a very critic point of view about all search techniques, without deep technical background. My first task was to inform common peoples about difference between merchant truth, and real truth. After 10 years of work with metal detectors, I only can say that I very disappointed with all models (commercial and myself to). And present designer trends about metal detectors are going in completely wrong way, I think.
                Best wishes to all,

                  Hi Jackdetect,

you say "....And present designer trends about metal detectors are going in completely wrong way, I think..."

So, what do you think is the correct way for metal detector design? Would be interesting to hear.

                  Chris

                    Re: Thanks for all inputs

The correct way is to learn something from geophysical EM locators, and to try making something favorably for treasure hunt. We are known well what we can get from classic concentric or DD coil. It is the same principle for 60 years.
Of course, first task for manufacturers is to every year make new generation of metal detectors (dual bla bla, or multy bla bla technology), and persuading buyers to drop present models. But truth is that new sophisticated models are real paint for work.
Heart of all new metal detectors is still analog. They are using microcontroller technology only for good mascara. Learn function, Lcd vision or similar nonsense are become a new approach. I can expect in near future even artifact intelligence implementing with ARV, in some new technology of metal detecting toys.
                    Best regards,
                    Jackdetect.

You have reason! With the pic it is practically impossible to copy why the codes are secrets. Hello to all
