  • Bandido board Split and Revised

Because my board is rather large and I really do not wish to go surface mount technology, I decided to split it into two Stackable boards.

I have also changed the Negative supply, Now using an ICL7660. I was Not happy with the origional transistor circuit.

A preliminary board is shown below.

I am also considering adding the low battery feature.

When Completed, Assembled, Built and Tested, I will post all the info on my site.

    Take care..........Gary

It looks very good but you must put the holes to tight the boards together

Those Holes are there. They are for SIP Pins and Sip Sockets.

Progress UPDATE...Re: Bandido board Split and Revised

Here is How the Split Board is Progressing.

"Single inline Pins" join the two boards together. I showed them in Red on one board, just to give all a better idea of how this goes together.

However they will best mount on the copper side, so Parts mount Outwards.
Thi will require a bit of care, Unless I decide to also do each board Double Sided.

Total Holes for both boards is now 461 holes.
        Lots of Drilling.

        Any Comments?

        Take care......Gary

Wow. Looks Great!!!! Let us know if these boards will have all components labeled ,like R1. R2 , C1,C2 Etc.. And will the two boards be connected together by wire jumpers or socket plugs?? Thank-you Gene L.

Hi Gene, Sorry No. I do not have the ability to Screen board.

The Two boards totally PLUG Together. Or at least it Should, Crossing my Fingers.

I just added a Low Battery circuit. More holes to drill, Darn-it.

I belive it is now complete, but need to check it all over, than etch a Proto board and assemble and test it.

I will than Post the boards and an assembled picture of them.

I will also redraw a schematic to show the additions and changes, but that will be done last.
