old bounty hunter i have ,every function works except on auto notch mode.When I sweep coil from left to right than it beeps 10 times for only 6 foot sweep . all metal mode ok , gonna check on scope to see if RF signal is shutting down completely. and ill post picture of processor and pc. board. Shouldnt be too hard ,but this problem seems familiar, like a previous post on this forum . P.S. my Detector is discovery 3000 , kinda like the sharpshooter II. Thank-you Gene L.

I re-checked the problem and its the auto-ground trac. Everything works perfect in air !!, Notch,discrim. etc.. .But put the search coil down , its starts beeping constantly. So im checking the pc board now for cold solder joints . running o-scope etc..maybe i need bucket of dirt by my test bench. I wonder how they set auto-ground trac on bounty hunter. Well i'll find out soon. post my findings later . Bye Gene L.
