Who is Ardvark Metal Detectors? They say they are one of the largest detector dealers in the USA...I have been in this hobby for well over 20 years and this is the first I have ever heard of them. Could they be a front for Kellyco? If they are truly one of the largest detector dealers in the USA how have they remained so well hidden all these years. There is definitely something wrong with this picture!!!!! JMHO

In all honesty though I've sold 100's of these and they're not bad at all. OK they're not quite a Cortes or Eldorado, but for the money, I've seen a LOT worse from "professional" machine manufacturers.

They're sturdier than an Explorer too, but I guess that doesn't mean much ;-)

Talk about badmouthing the small business owner e.g. the local dealers.

Retarded comment #1 - local dealers sell Kung-Fu knives and clocks.

None of the local dealer detecting sites I visit sell "junk", in fact the only site I can recall that sells junk is thiers!!!

Retarded comment #2 - assistance after the sale? Forget it. Most people on ebay don't use detectors, they "just sell them".

How do they know? Did the contract for a market study on this issue? Perhaps there was a 60 minutes episode I missed...or is this simply a personal opinion, its what they think so it must be true.

This one wins the "Idiot of 2004" award - "Many others on the internet are NOT real working companies, just a "dot-com" site, no building, no warehouse, in fact, no employees.., just "family"."

What's wrong with a family owned business and since when isn't a small business a "real" company??? I'm amazed at their ego, so they have a small building and a few employees, big whoop-dee-doo-dah, my firm has 130,000 employees and we gross 12 billion dollars a year.

Well anyway I could not let that slide, my brother owns a very successful small business, I'm starting one myself and I just found their ad completely offensive, never mind dumb.

What did they have a staff meeting and decide, "hey lets offend all the small business owners, their friends and family, and all the people who work for small businesses and give that market share away! Gawd I wouldn't buy from them now if for no other reason than the level of stupidity they have demonstrated!
