I have been looking to have software written to do search coil design, and here you are with JUST WHAT I NEED!!

Now, I wish to ask you a few questions;

1) What about MULTILAYER PCB's?

2) What about using the TOP AND BOTTOM layers as screens?

Hi,

my software supports two layers (Top, Bottom). But it is possible to extend the layers. It makes not sense, using more than two layers. In the case of two layers, you will have production tolerances (centering top and bottom layer). This would cause unbalancing the perfect IB-coil. I prefer one-side pcb-coil.

For screening, I am using a high resistance graphite shield. This is the best for shielding the coil and makes more cheaper.
