  • Does anyone have a simple circuit to...

Hi to all in the forum,

I havent checked in here for a while as ive been busily building my new MD, but have now hit a bit of a snag. I'm having real problems getting a target indicator circuit together. Tried a few things but none have worked that well. The signal is coming from a window detector which will light one LED for ferrous and the other for non-ferrous. But the LED's dont light very brightly on a small signal. What im looking for is a clear bright light on the LED's and enough power to saturate a transistor that controls a buzzer. My aim is to build as simple yet powerful detectror as possible, so if anyone has a really simple VCO or an on/off switching circuit that doesent involve a schmitt trigger then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE could you help me out.
    Many thanks for listening,
    James.

It sounds to me like a comparator for lighting your LEDs would do the trick...
