XT17000 problem

I have a xt17000 and it just stopped working, It now has an audible tone but its flatlined nothing changes the tone, putting metal near it anywhere makes no difference, changing settings on front to boost and signal tone etc etc makes no difference just flatline tone, any ideas,
P.S. I have tried a different coil, same thing.

Hi,

I have an XT17000 which stopped working but I managed to fix the problem. I suggest you check the following:

You will need to carefully open the case of the XT17000 and check to see if the the main PCB has located correctly to the edge connector. The PCB has a tendency to slip out of the edge connector. If this is the case carefully push the PCB back into the edge connector.

This has happened on two ocassions with my detector so give the check a try as it may sove your problem.
