        Good question
It could take us non-Russian speakers ages to decypher this.

          Hi Shahab.
How is yor TR Locator functioning?
Mine just need to get coils and support working and i hadn´t to much time this days to get it finish.
The circuit is working. I had tested all frequencies genereted buy the circuit, and no problem. Just i need to finish support and coils.
          Regards
          Nelson

                            • TWO Box tr locator

                              Hi Gary.
Today i finish one coil for TR locator. This was a 41 cms square coil, 150 turns of 0.4 enemaled wire.
Ok, you said that this coils are 15 mH each one, but when i measured with my L/C meter IIB i got 38 mH.
After that i check your L/C calculator and this give me 38 mH with 150 turns.
Is there any mistakes, because has i understand by the formula 38 mH is ok, but not very shure when i see the original TR locator Russian design that talks abot 38 cms in diameter coils , 150 turns with the same wire.
By the way the formula input data was 0.16 uF, 38 mH and the frequency result in 2.04 Khz
                              regards
                              Nelson

You can determine the inductance that way.

Hi Nelson, Not sure How you determined those 150 Turns for a Square Coil of that Size.
Personally I Haven't found a Square Coil Calculator that works properly.

My Square coils were actually Rectangular and only 14 Cm by 18 Cm. I just wound them by measuring the Inductance as I went.

The Exact Inductance isn't Critical because you tue it with those Caps, But 38 mH is Kind of High.
I would definately Unwind some wire.

                                Gary
