          • The PCB is hand-made.Scheme was made when there was no computer.

                  • I am just thinking loud. Could the Raptor (after some small modifications - a design from the "Inside the metal detector" book) be made into a 2 box design? It would just need to separate the TX and RX circuit and place them into two boxes a la Gemini - is that right? Or maybe I could use some of the more basic concepts do "design" my own...does it make sense?

Raptor is a motion detector, whereas 2-box detectors are non-motion (sometimes with a SAT). We had intended to include a 2-box design as part of ITMD (amongst a number of other things) but space and time were finite (I'm sure there must be an Einstein-related joke there somewhere ).

Charles Rakes published s simple design for what he called a "T/R Deep-Searcher Metal Detector" that might a good starting point for experimentation. It's listed in Appendix B.
The Projects section also has a different 2-Box design by Rakes here ->
                      http://www.geotech1.com/cgi-bin/page...obox/index.dat
Alternatively you might like to take the TR detector in Chapter 8 of ITMD and adapt that.

                      • IMHO a bicycle configuration will be worth pursuing. We had a bit of discussion about it here: http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?19483

                        • Hi my friend

Please confirm me wich of the two scematics you post is the one it gaves you the deepest results and also if you can please post deep test table.
                          In advance many thanks

                            • Hi friends, I have enough information about your circuit because I do not know how to make coils of the device http://www.geotech1.com/cgi-bin/page...obox/index.dat
