Using phase detector for Rx demod instead of diodes

In 2 box MDs, I was wondering if the sensitivity can be improved and target material identification can be deciphered by using a phase detector e.g. 4066 switches instead of the diodes D1 & D2, exactly like the way its done for VLF Rx.

Will this help in any way in identifying the metal?

Does the received field (from the target) lag in phase for ferrous and lead in phase for non-ferrous metals/material?

And in an isolated Tx and Rx situation, a cheap laser diode (from laser pointers) can transmit sync info from Tx to Rx.

Or atleast a precision rectifier (http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/showthread.php?t=9821) can be used instead of the diodes, but will it cause any loss of information about the target?

hola jantnadal, disculpa no habia leeido tus posts, a veces entro poco, mira hacer un dos cajas no es dificil, claro esta segun los circuitos que utilices, mira yo te sugiero un oscilador tx caja trasera, y sencillo hecho a partir de un transistor a12 y luego le pones capacitores antiguos grandes eso queda muy potente, y la se/nal va al doble de lejos, para el rx buscas un buen amplificador a base de un ic lm358 hay muchos, luego les pones alambre unas 150 vueltas en cada caja y listo, lo que pasa es que yo no tengo tiempo para dibujarte mi circuito por ser hecho a mano, y me la paso ocupado, y pues lanzate investiga, busca el dos cajas witcher de alli copeas el rx y el tx como te digo lo haces muy simple, un transistor capacitores como dos y dos resistencias y ya, con esos circuitos juegas a lo lindo y ahhhhhhhhhhh no detecta mineralizacion para nada mjmj mejor que los modernos!! recuerda rx del witcher de charles rakes, y pa lante un abrazo

Hola detectoman tanto tiempo.
Mira siempre he tenido una duda si se puede construir un dos cajas con estos monitores para bebes, de 49 MHz. Yo tengo varios de esos, una caja es el transmisor y la otra el receptor, entonces por que no se podría ubicar el TX y RX respectivamente con sus bobinas separadas como dos cajas.
Ahh, y si tienes el dibujo del dos cajas que tu armaste, me gustaria tener una copia si se puede. Solo escanea los datos y aqui le damos forma, je je .

hello alls, nelson i build the two boxs whit the old project of charles rakes, witcher, i use only the rx of he, and whit others little modifications, this give me, not much depth, only 1,5 m, for car iron whel buried, but this md, is not affected for mineralizations
you want in geotech forum on witcher' two boxs i not remember where is these, this pdf archive, you know you have these?
on the two box whit baby voice monitor, i say this, this stuff have vhf, very much megahertz, you need low frecuence for soil penetrations, you should low the oscilations, modify the cristal oscilator, you should put the square coil in antena, and ground, and too in antena rx, actually , today i study lrls, and all my time in this, i am discounect of two boxs

two box are only one simple thing, simple oscilator how tx, and one simple rx amplifier, low oscilations, vlf' and 150 turns 28 awg wire or other

hi nelson, apologies for my error, in the night i check in my archives and see what the right pdf is this:.. circuit circus of geotech of book of charles, figure 4, here is one simple diagram, i use for the rx two, box, whit these, only modified add little amplifier of beeps whit ic 555, and little tx of one transistor

hola nelson anoche yo revise mis pdf y encontre el mini circuito con el que yo hice mi dos cajas, no es el witcher eso esta en el archivito de geotech ( circuit circus ) es el diagramita de la figura 4, lo copias y solo le agregas otra etapa de amplificacion mas con un circuito hecho del ic 555 y te queda perron, es muy simple eso, y cuando ya hayas hecho la caja delantera yo te paso el diagrama del trasmisor, pues necesito copiarlo y enviarlo, la verdad no tengo escaner, esta averiado, pero arreglandolo yo te podria mandar todos los detalles, jjaja no olvidando que ese es mi patente en tramite, es el mejor detector de dos cajas que he usado y vaya que he probado muchos, claro solo va a un poco mas de un metro, con un ring de carro enterrado, pero no detecta nada de mineralizacion, y no tiene efecto tierra, es estable y economico de baterias, es liviano, es solid state, sirve de banco, y muchas mas monerias
un abrazo nelson y me gustaria que desarrollaramos tu y yo ese proyecto por mail y ya cuando lo termines tu lo posteas bien detallado a geotech, pues como te digo yo hago los circuitos de modo manual y siempre estoy con otro y otro asi que ni los dibujo
