Hi there. I just picked up an old 1235x that needs a bit of repair & noticed that it has 3 trimpots on the circuit board. Now, it would be nice to be able to adjust the detector, but I'm unwilling to do so without some prior knowledge. Does anyone know what each trimpot adjusts? Thanks... Willy.

Need help adjusting the trimpots on a 1235x

Hi Willy,
There should be 6 trim pots on the 1235x pc board. Three of these pots are multi-turn and 3 are a single turn pot. Now, I am not sure just which you have recognized but suspect they are the single turn pots.
I don't have a 1235x at this time so I can't look inside to see if the pots are labled. If they are, then R 10 (multi turn) is the ground comp; R 53 (multi turn) is the static threshold, main threshold (multi turn) is R64. Discrimination bias is R45, audio gain is R 78, and finally motion threshold is R 48.
The adjustment of these controls is somewhat complex so one shouldn't adjust them if possible.
