  • Experiment in a "Balance Bridge Detector Design"

Esteban, sent me a copy of the origional article on this.

I decided to try and Update and Re-Create it.
Possibly make it better than the origional design.
This is Just My Preliminary Article on this.

Well I don't know if its better than the origional design, But its now completed.

Seems to works pretty good, espacially on large objects.

I Can't really test it Underwater here, But I see no reason it should make any difference. (Especially Now, Minus 15 Degrees Celsus)

I did try it with a 50 foot cord. Cheap, Radio Shack Speaker wire.

    Take care........Gary

C'mon, Gary... I've seen that pic of you in Hedley Creek... -15C shouldn't be a problem!

        The -15C isn't the problem.

            Blanced Bridge - Nice!

            Gary,
A nice design and layout as per your usual work. What kind of distance on a coin or some such?

            Keep up the good work!

I only made that 1 foot diameter coil and it will barely detect a coin at all.
In my opinion, this detector is Only suitable for LARGE Objects and is Best Suited for Underwater Applications.

In the Origional Article the author also made a 6 Inch coil for his detector, claiming it would be useful for around the house. I have some doubts about this.

If a person was to Re-Design it for a Much Higher Frequency and Smaller Inductance Coils, Than it might be useful for coins. But that would also require a Frequency conversion or other type of detector, so you could hear that resulting signal.

              Maybe Someday I'll try this.
