I can tell; EVEN....

Hi Ivconic. I waiting for field and air results. What about The locating distance for a coin, soda can and 1Lt paint can. What are you say to construct it.
Now who i finished the SS60 i want to try another detector (Zagori, 2Box, ClassicIII or this DB2010).
The winter is a good season for manufactures of detectors (I have more free time )

Results are even-simillar,almost same...

I do advice you to start building Classic III.Excellent choice!
But "stick" to original schematic from White's.Do not try any mod posted here,due to understanding original project,later you may add mods if you want. For coil i suggest small "spider" coil from Fisher...It works perfect with Calssic III...You have to rearrange capacitors in TX and RX....TX should be 330nF and RX one of 22nF and one of 10nF parallel...
You may use already made pcb....see Jackdetect project and look in "..unknown Fisher....." post...It is Classic III pcb, not Fisher..

I made almost ten of those so far...Works very fine...
First you start making,than i'll help you with extra tips.

If you mean on one in "Jacdetect's project..." posted;
I do not know what to think? Best way is to try it and see....I used Fisher's "Spider" coils
with Classic III from the begining....i never tried others..
Also i heard that White's "Blue Max" coil is very good. I would like to try it somewhen.
Once i made double DD coil for Classic III;
25cm diamm for D shape, TX=56 windings,0.5 w.gauge...RX=165 windings,0.2 w.gauge...
"Faraday cage" is obligatory for this coil, on TX part!
I used Al (kitchen) foil, later connected with few wraps of wire on foil tightly...
I bet,you already knew how to make those..
That DD coil is working very good with CL3. 1cm coin detects on 35cm in the air...But not
"sweet" for pinpointing at all!
I'll repeat; it showed that small "Spider" coil is best to use with CL3 so far!

Instead of 3x9Volts batteries you may use one 12volts accu. just need to add extra 7809 for
audio output....Also later i omited MPSA13 and it's driver BC... and added audio otput,
the same i added on Zahori, with 555,4N35 and 2907....Works PERFECT!!! Much better audio!
With it you can gain certain delay in tone (till 1 second) by experimenting on driving 2907
from 555 with some extra signal from 555....
Also showed much better audio in pinpointing mode( a kind of higher sensitivity?)...
Classic 3 is a very nice detector! Right now i am using Minelab Musketeer Colt,which is
very simillar in "action" as Classic 3...but Minelab have accurate discrimination and very
small coil (18cm) which makes it a bit superior than CL3...but still Classic 3 is my
favorite detctor of all time! I do have one, others i sold. That one is taking very
special place in my workshop,and from time to time i am taking it with me on the field..
Very deep on some fields,very good for coins....
When prospecting on "clean" fields(without much of mineralisation and trash) than CL3 is
superior!!!
I can only regard you decision to make CL3! Go for it, you'll be very satisfied!

Hi Ivconic. Thanks. The pcb in photo is in drawing mode or i must draw it oposite? (i have not photo sensitive pcb so i will draw it with my hands...Ohhhh ). I have 1 year to draw pcb (from delta pulse).

"Flip" or "Mirror" or any other term to name that function, all grpahics software has it already...

you chose pic than
in image column ,there is "hprizantal Flip" ,click this
and here what you want
than print with lazer -jet printer( toner)
than iron it on copper

Hi Ivconic. I am very old now so i know how to reverse or mirror the photo . Because some times i drilled the pcb from the reverse side i asked you for sure:confused: . Now i have drilled the pcb and i am at drawing. Later i will open a new thread about cl3 where you may send me the informations who i want for a good constructing.
Now i must go for work (very hard grr...). I will writw more from my office.

Hi All . What to say. I make pcb for 30 years ago. I learned 2 ways one with photosensitive pcb and the other (the first who i learned) that i drill the pcb and after i draw it with marker (pencil) raincoat (it need a lot of time and good eyes who i have not now). SORRY is the first time who i see this so easy way for pcb (The donkeys stay donkeys....this for me).
