  • Optimize my PI :-)

I am building my own PI detector, which is still in prototype stage. Wanted to know few things:

    1) How do I remove 60Hz noise, to make detector more stable in urban areas? I am working at about freq of 400hz and Tx at about 100us.
    2) For integrator what should be the optimum gain and time constant? I am having a gain of 1000 and time constant 200ms. Is gain of 1000 an overkill for the integrator? Sample pic of signal at integrator 10mv/div and timebase of 5ms. Is this the correct waveform that you get at integrator that we should get or is it highly unstable?

    My PreAmp using LM318 @2V/Div:

This is how integrator looks like at 10mv/div and time base of 5ms:

    My lil setup:

I want to discuss more about my PI but right now I am myself a bit confused  . Will write more later until then please provide some info about the above points. I think it would be valuable for all the amateurs engineers here on the forum.
