What if you put some members on "ignore" or "block" list?
Later on, you'll want to see the new topic started by one of those members... you can't.
You can't see that topic and anything that maybe other members posted.

Well, I looked on Vbulletins website, and found a page listing compatible browsers for VB5. Firefox and Chrome are no-go's, the required version being too modern to be compatible with Windows Vista OS. But is said Opera V27+ was OK. This works with Vista, in fact up to V36 works. So I downloaded V36, installed it. Of course, it didn't work, the login failed, just like before. I ran the 'web developer' diagnostics, the login.js routine fails when it gets to a 'suppress next AJAX indicator' statement. I've no idea what that is, so Googled it, which led me to this page on Vbulletin's forum: https://forum.vbulletin.com/forum/vb...ernet-explorer
This stated the update from VB 5.5.2 to 5.6.0 included changes to the login function, seemingly affecting many browsers, including mine. So their claims about Opera V27 being VB 5 compatible are untrue/out-of-date.
So I've still got nowhere as far as logging on here. Pfft.

sent from the library computer.
I take right now you are only able to access from the library? Let me post a help request to vBulletin and see if they have an idea.

Probably I can modify this. May take a while, learning new stuff.
" Let me post a help request to vBulletin and see if they have an idea."
It would be good if you could obtain an up-to-date list of what browsers ARE compatible with this forums specific V 5.7.1 variant. Then I have a starting point to work from.

Thanks.
I don't think any of so far mentioned "issues" we reported; is related to browser.
Like I mentioned somewhere; I have several devices with several different OS and majority of known browsers installed on them.
This new version of forum runs smooth on all of them.
Issues I reported so far are all related to adjustments that can be done or are already done.
Yet... Vista is rather old and obsolete, XP too. I wouldn't expect anybody to use them today.
Win7 however is still "actual" (I don't mind MS giving alerts about stopping the support) and still works just fine.
I have it on core duo, dual core, quad core and octa core machines here. Also have Win10.
Hate to move completely to Win10. To much tied for Win7...
