Geo i own you coil data from last time.....This is for you!

How about this!?
I experimented with OO coil. So i made small (i mean SMALL) OO coil which is
working very,very good with Classic 3...
On 10cm former i wound 152 windings, 0.25mm wire for RX and 60 windings 0.4mm for
TX....I put 330nF parallel to TX and 22nF parallel to RX....
And coil is detecting 2cm coin at 16cm distance!!! No false signals,stabillity is
PERFECT, discrimination is PERFECT!
Of course i put both coils in Faraday cage, and both connected to gnd...
I didnt expected such good performances. I am wandering myself, what performances
i can gain if make larger coil....let's say if i use 20cm former to wind those two
coils???

Any simillar experiences?

Hi Ivconic. Good coils but i don't believe that OO coils are better than DD.I believe that they have the same performance !! If you will make 20cm OO coil and check it then we will see what about OO performance! Until this time i stay at the DD coils ????

O.K. Geo, this time youre wrong. OO coil showed much more stabillity than DD. Depth also.
But if you dont want to make it.....O.K. i'll give you one more secret;

Concentric,coplanar coil for Classic 3 (best so far);

TX former 19cm
RX former 10cm

TX 43 windings 0.35mm
RX 310 windings 0.2mm
FB from 16 to 24 windings dependable of mods in your Classic 3...

That small coil detect 2cm coin at 27cm distance....BUT WITH GND BALANCE FULL TURNED TO "SQUEEZE" GND, AND DISCRIMINATION TO 50% !!!!!!!
So with this coil i am working on high-mineralized ground without at least bit of false signals.....

With this coil CL3 shows as much better than Minelab Musketeer Colt!!!

This is my greatest coil secret so far!!!
I give it here cose i switched to quite different design from now on...
DO make it and test it, you'll be very satisfied!

Ohhh...


oohhh....i forgot;

Caps parallel to TX are 580nF (few connected parallel),
Caps parallel to RX are 35nF (few......)...

But this you should recheck on your device - not rule!

Thanks for the coil information. You said me that "this time i am wrong".
He...He.. why not. I am not God...I don't know everything. Just i try to learn... and i say my opinion. That is all. Sometimes i like when i make mistakes ... because i learn from the mistakes.
And some personal....."All my Life is a Big Mistake" .... never mind
