Hi guys, can someone explain how exactly "Sensitivity" works?

What changes when I increase and decrease Sensitivity?
Is the sensitivity done by changing the gain resistor in the RX opamp? (With DAC or how? is there a sample schematic?)

Even though the RX opamp has a fixed gain resistor, I see "sensitivity" on the device, how is this happening?

Different designs do it differently. It might be the gain of the preamp, or it might be the gain of a later amplifier stage (like the TDI). It might be a detection threshold in a later stage (most Tesoros). All mostly done with a simple pot. In a mostly digital detector it might be done in software. Look at the various schematics that are posted for examples.

in tesoro-similar sch's it is a pot on inputs of comparators. is it your case??
so you just choice optimal position of the pot tuning. in lower position of tuning you get lower depth, above optimal one you get unstability in form of sometimes-nervous frequent crack-crack sound. sure your choice is not to be nervous and be in good form always.

PS. Carl was first. i did not see his post.
