I didn't intentionally reduce the resolution of those pages, I found them like that over the years somewhere... or someone sent them to me, I don't remember exactly.

The concept is so genuine and intereting that I am pretty much positively surprised with how is done.
So, if I manage to return some money from this; I plan to add "digital" part with LCD and plenty of features more.
Because this is the "bare bone" project, open for various modifications, improvements and additions,
But, there would be no point at all me to invest more work; if I can't return some money from this.
The one who place best bid will get for free my all future works on this, in time.
I can't promise it will be tomorow, but certainly withing next few motnhs for sure, worst case scenario; in the winter.
There are few delicate parts that needs a bit of searching to obtain. I already located few suppliers and I will provide the info to best bidder.
I am delighted with the "minimalist" approach to the design of this device.
It seems so simple, but in fact it is an ingenious combination of several special components.
Proof that engineers used to be geniuses and that they really had a lot of imagination and even more knowledge.
          ...

I assume that the product was abruptly withdrawn from production and further sale because its appearance dangerously affected further sales of new models of metal detectors.
Because what good is a new detector if you can achieve much more with the old detector and this device...

Does this need a metal case ? I'm wondering if the TO-220 (?) part needs heatsinking to a case, for example. Or does the device need shielding for EMI / magnetic reasons ?

They are talking there about some absolutelly wrong circuit, there is no transistors in original device, no 4011 nor 4047 circuits too.
Reading further it seems they are talking about some "static charge eliminator from Nedyalko Jdzdanov's book, published in 1999..."
which has nothing to do with original Depth Doubler too.

Like a high voltage inverter that catches earthworms. It should send some form of electrical current to the soil

ivconic, did you also test it on the pulse detector

I guess the logic is the same with this detector.

like always - luck of information. BTW every EVERY buyer of DP board ask me to give - FULL SCHEMATIC, last revision, FULL part list,
diagrams, manual for collect etc. WHY this seller gives NOTHING???? why i must believe all he promises???
                              buy and then check? not?

Not even close, nothing in common with Depth Doubler.
