I think this forum lacks the "humanity" of such personal stories.
A very interesting story and I enjoy reading something like that more than a bunch of technical boring pages.
Because if I was only to care about technical details; we have so many piles of accumulated knowledge on the Internet,
nowadays it is easy for anyone who wants to learn to learn something.
But forums of this type remain alive only as long as people are alive on them with their human stories.
...
That Cscope behavior is totally pointless. It is adequate for the 80s, maybe the first half of the 90s.
But today, when the entire world market of metal detectors has been completely conquered by a couple of "big ones" who have the last word in technology and science in their offer...
It's funny and pathetic that someone keeps and hides the schematic of some old analog designs that are totally outdated and in no way is it interesting or competitive today in the sea of similar ones.
Even with its top models, Cscope is no longer in competition with the others. It's a wonder how that company survives anyway?
So all that behavior on their part is very stupid and backward.
They gain nothing from it, only a bad image in the eyes of hobbyists. And the revolt...
So much the worse for them. Because nothing can be hidden.
If the schematic is worth anything; sooner or later it will appear publicly on the forums. If it is not there, then it means that it is not worth anything.
I am a man of my word, as I said; if I ever get to the 1220XD or 990XD; I will make a complete documentation and post everything here.
Some devices that I can "commercialize" further; I will not post until further notice.
But VLF I/B detectors have long been out of my sphere of such interests. So everything I find that is not published; I will continue to post here on the forum.
