I think this forum lacks the "humanity" of such personal stories.
A very interesting story and I enjoy reading something like that more than a bunch of technical boring pages.
Because if I was only to care about technical details; we have so many piles of accumulated knowledge on the Internet,
nowadays it is easy for anyone who wants to learn to learn something.
But forums of this type remain alive only as long as people are alive on them with their human stories.
    ...
That Cscope behavior is totally pointless. It is adequate for the 80s, maybe the first half of the 90s.
But today, when the entire world market of metal detectors has been completely conquered by a couple of "big ones" who have the last word in technology and science in their offer...
It's funny and pathetic that someone keeps and hides the schematic of some old analog designs that are totally outdated a
nd in no way is it interesting or competitive today in the sea of similar ones.
Even with its top models, Cscope is no longer in competition with the others. It's a wonder how that company survives anyway?
So all that behavior on their part is very stupid and backward.
They gain nothing from it, only a bad image in the eyes of hobbyists. And the revolt...
So much the worse for them. Because nothing can be hidden.
If the schematic is worth anything; sooner or later it will appear publicly on the forums. If it is not there, then it means that it is not worth anything.
I am a man of my word, as I said; if I ever get to the 1220XD or 990XD; I will make a complete documentation and post everything here.
Some devices that I can "commercialize" further; I will not post until further notice.
But VLF I/B detectors have long been out of my sphere of such interests. So everything I find that is not published; I will continue to post here on the forum.

Low drift tuner. The opamp used is a CA3160, very typical in tuner circuits. The circuit depicted even has all the component values.

The 1220xd is a different circuit , not the same as 1220b, there are no 4066 and no 4046 in the new circuit.
Maybe some points are the same ,(sound) but the whole circuit is not.

like i said they have been modernised, i cant open mine as its under warranty but as i understand it, i think its a digital circuit probably with a soc, the point is to the end user it looks and feels just like the old 990,
however imho they are more stable and a bit deeper than the old units.
they also are lighter and for instance the 770xd the grandkids use is very good on power it takes a single 9v pp3 battery, and they last ages rechargeable cells are more a less a waste of time, just use a quality cell i like duracell.
the old cscopes used two 9v cells one for + and one for-, and my old cs220 eats them allways did, works perfectly but power hungry, the duracell battery in my detecting bag has done at least 2 years in the kids machine on beach mode, loads of trips just remember to take it out at the end of the session, i stole that battery last month for a smoke alarm when i tested it still had 8.2v not bad.
i know todays pp3's are not in the same class as the old everready ones i used to use, there only fault is they leak when left in situ, but then haven't batteries always leaked when left in.

1220XD is a full analog detector, there is no MCU inside.
C.SCOPE have simplified the circuit relative to the older model 1220B.
On page 14 on the advertising paper ,there are some features, how deep they go , on a coin and on a sheet of metal 50cmx50cm. there are differences in how deep they go .Many of these have passed through my hands in recent years and I can say with certainty that the cheaper models do not perform a detailed nulling on the coils in relation to the more expensive ones.Their whole secret lies in the coil, which must be synchronized with the existing input circuit, that's why you can't change coils. This is also one of the reasons why the Chinese did not copy these machines, while their circuit is one of the simplest that exists.
I like their circuits because they are simple, and because they have been designed by very advanced electronic designers in the past, I'm sure if they made today a bigger coil for the non motion machines they would perform far better than many new detectors and they would certainly approach the performance of the nautilus, but this is not in their interest because they would not sell new machines....it is in my priorities to make such a coil.

The Scope CS990XD Metalldetektor can be purchased online
for €349, but does anyone know if the integrals were deleted or if it was filled with epoxy resin?

I also found the C. Scope METADEC III for
€250 located in Germany and C. Scope. CS4ZX for €280 can be delivered to Europe with DHL if anyone wants to buy it and can draw the schematic I will give a link but I don't know if the integrals have been deleted or if there is epoxy.

i stand corrected!, i haven't looked inside i was just assuming, in that case im even more impressed with it being all analog considering its lightness in the hand and its other improvements.
                          thankyou for setting that right.
                          aly.

I own a CS660, in my country (IT) they are really appreciated for relic hunt because they are non motion so you can put the coil between rocks and trees, I bought mine on the specific purpose to search between bushes.
