    That depends on the ferrite. Some ferrites have a lot of hysteresis and slow down the decay. Others have almost no hysteresis and no effect on decay. I have run a 1mH ferrite cored coil at 3-4us delay.

        And what brands of ferrites can be used for a pulse pinpoint?

              In this case, as additional switch, with low control voltages ( +3V and -3V), BC847 transistor have excellent parameters! Attached is version of the schematic with this transistor.

                  MD970 is good for coins. My design is useful for grain size objects (appr. 20 times smaller than 1kop).
