Has more features than the handheld units!
I've bee working on my old HP unit but I don't think it has a capture feature like the modern scopes do.

I plan on doing more than just measuring detector frequencies too.

Max sensitivity of 50mV isn't great but otherwise looks decent. I would choose this over the portable.

What max sens should I be looking for?

It depends on what you're doing. For many uses, 50mV is enough.

Been on the fence for 2 weeks now. Not knowing what to get. I've read a few issues with this scope so now doubt has set in.

Now I have another question about a scope. Do they have the capability to measure the amplitude of a transmitted detector signal? By that I should give an example:
White's V3i had the option to increase transmission power to the coil. Can this be measured?
Before and after increasing the transmit power.

any oscilloscope can do that , just connect the pickup coil to it, keep that coil 50 cm from detector coil and compare the amplitudes. Doubling amplitude will give you a few cm more range, to double the range you need to increase amplitude by 10 times.

As pito says, you can do that with a pickup coil. You can also probe the TX oscillator on the circuit board.

19.5” seems to be a long way from the coil to be measuring output.

It's a one-way signal unlike detecting a coin, which is a round-trip signal. And it depends on the diameter and number of turns.
