The original manual has very good diagnostic steps but still I haven't found the problem. Can get a single dot, then 2 dots but they don't move when adjusted. Checked the voltage on the transistors mentioned all okay
but still no good. I've used the built in square wave but it doesn't display either. Checked many components in the area but all seem to be working correctly

Obviously the deflection circuits are not working. But it could be anything from the HV power supplies to the signal source. With the horizontal deflection somewhere there is a sawtooth ramp generator whose frequency is set by the time scale knob. Try to find that and see if it's working. Ironically, you will need an oscilloscope to do that.

Maybe you already have done this?
These old scopes many times can be made to work just by cleaning all the switches, control pots and circuit board connections. Buy some contact spray cleaner. Spray the switches and then work them back and forth, same with the pots. This helps remove the oxides from the contacts. Next thing is to look for is swollen electrolytic caps or ones that have white residue on them.

I did clean pot R105 that adjusts "position" which connects to Q16 and pulled and reset each set of plug-in wires I could find. 4-52 from above fails so the issue is most likely in the Horizontal output amplifier circuit. Still a lot to check but even if I never fix the unit I have a lot of extra parts to play with. 4-52 instructions will be the next for me to perform.
Cleaning each pot with cleaner might be a good place to start. At the present time I don't have an oscilloscope and it is obvious by some of the diagnostic procedures that will be needed.
I did notice something strange with the dot on the screen. I could adjust the time/div and volts/div and the dot would move up and down about a millimeter or so. Like there was a capacitor charging and discharging in the circuit.
Don't know what went wrong with the other attachments but I'll wait until later if need be to upload. One thing about this manual it does have complete schematics of each group of circuits. Very interesting to say the least.

put switch in X/Y mode, set volts/div on max sensitivity, touch probe by finger , report results. With schematic you will safe the time to locating the problem.
I don't have an oscilloscope = https://www.sillanumsoft.org
