The guy wants $200 for it and by the picture the scope is displaying a frequency produced by the scope. But even though he says it works perfectly, I always have my doubts. This model number is no longer produced by Tektronix's don't produce the TBS1104 anymore. I sent them an email asking about the support or repair if needed. The scope originally sold also came with resource CD's to help teachers in the classroom. They really talk up the use of their scopes for learning. And I do like to learn.
I sent the guy a message and ask how old it was and his reply was, he bought it used about 5 years ago. Just thinking.

I would take an old used Tektronix scope over a new no-name Chinese scope any day. I still have 2 older Tek TDS scopes. $200 is a good price, especially if it comes with probes. Looking on eBay, $200 is the cheapest one has sold in a while, so you can always get your money back.

Had high hopes to buy this scope but another guy got there before me. Interesting note, Tektronix has a flat rate fee of $1300 to fix scopes. Obviously the scope is not worth that.
There are quite a few other names:
          Hantek
          Owon
          Siglent
As I can see all China made.

          Any of these worth having.

Hantek, Owon, Siglent, and also Rigol are all good quality, I do not consider them "no-name" Chinese brands. Personally, I have 2 Rigol scopes.

Mark...Even though I have a Rigol 1054z .. the development of oscilloscopes is also moving forward .. and there are newer models for a good price ..

Tektronix is one of the best brand for me. I used to work with fairly old CRT type Tektronics oscilloscope. Never had a problem with it. Now I have GW Instek GDS-1102 DSO, but I rarely take it out of its package box these days.
