I get it!
Americans have a bad habit of shortening names and often mixing up and overusing synonyms and homonyms.
"China" is a common name for porcelain vessels.
"Danish" is for pastries...etc.
I too fell under that bad influence by watching too many movies... a very bad habit.
In some societies with a different cultural arrangement, such easy use of the term can be understood in a very wrong way.
Often as a grave insult.
I understand that.
And I try not to make such mistakes.

Is it a product of laziness in speech.
Or because of excessive rhetoric, terms and names were shortened; in order to prevent the interlocutor from interrupting the speech easy,
from over-voicing... or for some other reason; but the fact is that I've been watching a lot of movies all my life, 80% of them American, and I easily noticed that peculiarity of Americans.
In the last 20 years, it is no longer just a bad trait of Americans, but it has spread everywhere.
Today, here in Serbia, it is simply impossible to follow TV shows in which there are more than a few interlocutors.
I get the impression that people are becoming shallower and dumber, but more and more vocal and talkative.
Sometimes such a TV show annoys me so much that I would prefer to break the TV and have the fool on the screen live in my room; I'd rather jump on his ribs!
This type of "Americanism" is present today much more widely outside the borders of the USA.

I'm not vocal. I avoid conversations.
I hate phone calls so much.
People are surprised, they don't understand, I use Viber, Skype, Whatsapp and Telegram, but without a camera and microphone, I only type on the keyboard.
Because live conversation terrifies me.
And because of similar "phobias", I don't like to take pictures and record with a camera.

Sometimes it doesn't pay and it doesn't suit "someone" to solve a big state problem.
I know "some countries" that publicly fight against the drug trade... but secretly they are mostly financed by it.
When you have a very ingenious solution that solves a big problem of humanity... watch out! You are becoming a target for many!
For example; the cure for cancer has been around for a long time. Even the most severe form is treated in a couple of months. But it doesn't suit "someone"...
Free or almost free energy has existed for a long time. But everyone who touched it...sooner or later "perished", "died", "disappeared" under "normal" circumstances.
There is a long list of ingenious solutions that would raise this humanity to some new dimension of existence, to heaven on the planet... but it doesn't suit "someone".
If I continue on this topic... I must inevitably go into political topics. And that's not approved by the owner and admin, so I'll stop.
