About discrimination and color goals. I'll tell you another story with me. Long ago...In the early 2000s, I was given a Whites XLT. This MD was very good at that time. But then I didn't understand much about this case. As many people know, I had to enter two sheets (!) of settings (rather than press two buttons) and start searching. BUT, as many people know, in the menu of this MD there is a function for visualizing the target / object depending on the VDI. And I started the search. There is a sound on the RING screen! There is no limit to happiness! I dug it up...stopper. And so several times))! Thank God that there were no more traffic jams, otherwise I would have smashed this MD against a tree)). I have told you all about the issue of discrimination using the example of colored targets. And how many of them are there in the old settlements? You know it yourself-Thousands! Pieces and fragments of copper, foil, tin, lead, etc. Old flat thin iron with holes, etc., etc. Therefore, unfortunately, discrimination is very little that solves the real search.

try 900 Equinox and you’ll forget how to dig plugs. And Sovereign gt. I also had GMP. I recently gave it to a friend. Today (my opinion) Equinox 900, taking into account the price, has turned out to be the most successful. By the way, it is completely calm and does not make false signals like all XP.

        This is the bottom line.
        A very important detail.
The Vanquish 340 behaves the same way.
My random conclusion is that the "Multi-IQ" technology works well, but it needs a higher number of samples per unit of time to be successful...
or a much more powerful ADC and processor in the machine.
Bruce.. is this reaching your ears?

I had a new Sovereign GT. I sold it to a local friend.
He still keeps it, but the poor machine is in a rather "used" condition.
It's good. But it is no longer the type of technology that interests me today.

My dealer friend has one 900 on offer. I can take it easily. Now you've given me something to think about...

Some videos of Manticore and D2 with nails.

                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H7jJch5klM

And then a rather long video hunting for coins with all 3 detectors. Manticore, 900 and D2.

Reports seem unbiased and fairly thorough.

In the fall I came across a very good silver taller. there was a deep, quiet, very pleasant signal. Taller was under black stone like lava and red clay. next to me there were colleagues with deus and orx. So ORX was deaf, and Deus wheezed a little. After that, I really started to like Equinox, although I haven’t mastered it well yet.. If you need help with settings, write to me by email...

Come in the summer, let's try the sea. They say with a small 6" coil under water it works better than pulse and separates metal well. By the way, on wet ground I use beach program 1. I don’t have to adjust the balance. And I see better than in other programs.

Excellent, I'm pretty sure that you won't be disappointed - all three are really good machines. As with everything, taking time and patience to learn the little tricks and settings of the machine will pay off in your finds. But then, I don't have to tell you that... Good Luck!

I wouldn't dare carry a more expensive detector across the border. But the Vanquish 340 is handy for those things.

The EQX is pretty impressive at separation of close targets when you choose a fast recovery setting., even with the large 11 inch coil. You may want to consider the smaller 6 inch 15cm coil, though, if your sites are really heavy with targets/iron debris. This is where money comes into it - perhaps sell the Quish and put the money towards an Eqx coil?
