A possible solution is for one of my acquaintances in the UK to buy it from the seller and post it to my friend in a neighboring country (EU member).
And then some of my friends will pass by and pick it up and bring it to me.
This "logistics" has already been tried and it worked.

Be careful changing the Channel from 1-4 to Channel 10-11..has a positive effect on the range on Low Conductivity targets..

First impression is that I am not impressed at all!
Is it because I still don't know how to set the parameters?
There isn't much to adjust from really useful parameters.
There are plenty of bells and whistles though.
I have the most problems with the sound, it is very "slimy" and mum, it "walks" a lot and is not "concrete".

I assume the machine is currently set to "idiot" mode, I'll have to dig around the internet to get to the essential settings.
I don't like this. It's stupid to compare, but Vanquish blew me away at first sight.
And this machine, it seems to me, was purpose-built for "salon" detectorists.
However... often the first impression is the most wrong. Time will tell.
In the spring I will have the possibility to have Manticore in addition to CTX, so we will see the essence on the real ground.
Now it is still winter, the cold, "toothy" sun, there is no question of going out on the fields.

There is one thing that equally annoys me about this detector; as it annoys me on my iPhone; the audio has its own "smarts" and works very quietly, softly,
and I can't set it to "scream" and be heard! After all, I am an old man with weaker hearing.
This seems to be made for cats or dogs who have much more sensitive hearing than humans.
Digression... I'm thrilled with the iPhone's camera, but I'm terribly annoyed that I can't "nail down" its audio settings at all!?
I turn it all the way up and it insidiously turns it down behind my back!?

It looks like the built-in AI is taking care not to damage my hearing? Or is it some crazy new "woke" fad?
The music I love simply demands to be listened to loudly. No wonder the newer generations are mostly confused about their basic human qualities!

I was delighted with this short brilliant sequence, so I added a small "loop" to the existing video.
An excellent example that illustrates how the same music sounds when listened to softly and when listened to loudly.
First listen to this quietly and then "crank up" the volume to "loud" with strong woofer.
I have a good sound system and the difference is incredible for me here:

Ivconic.. I would definitely do a factory reset on the CTX to rule out any incorrect detector settings, as well as the fact that the detector used manual ground balance..which affects and reduces the detector's detection depth...in normal terrain..

many people don't know this...

then try individual sound modes 2 tone ferous vs. sound of the conductor...

use the manually set detector sensitivity...

adjust the discrimination screen number 2 2 according to your field testing...

set the detector response to Fast...

and the recovery response to deep

audio to smoth..or nozmal..but long is also OK..

Busy these days... a friend has an Equinox 800 and the main problem is the very awkward design (I've criticized that new fad on many).
So I found a very good idea on Thingverse how to solve the problem of packing the detector in a smaller backpack, without the risk of damaging the main box of the detector.

I might be boring if I repeat some things.
In 2012 I bought an XP Deus 1 and it was a very significant (one might say "tectonic") turning point in my prospecting career.
And then there was a long period of boredom and nothing new and interesting.
Until I bought a Vanquish 340.
I consider that day when I bought the Vanquish 340 to be the second, the next very important "tectonic" step forward.
Today, a few months later, I no longer have any qualms about it.
It doesn't matter which model it is; 340, 440 or 540: Vanquish is truly a "tectonic" upheaval in the world of metal detectors, although it went unnoticed for a while, it entered through a very "small door".
A flood of more expensive "Multi-IQ" models quickly overshadowed this phenomenon.
The reason I prefer the Vanquish over the new X-Terra, Equinox series or even the Manticore is the case design, cable placement and overall ease of use.
That new "fashion" that everyone is pushing today (the other day I saw that even the "unfortunate" CScope is coming to the market with a model in the same design) ... would be an understatement if I say; disgusting!
A vertical case with a huge yet rather stupid LCD display, the same mediocre menus and options, the same height and position of the coil connector... the same bar... pretty much the same design of the coils... all this is evidence of a lack of forward thinking.
It all came down to Copy&Paste.
That's why the Vanquish has more value for me.
Because it is an extremely good machine that surpasses some much more expensive models, while retaining the "good old school" design.
But that's just me... and my sleuthing tendencies...
As with XP Deus 1, 13 years ago, I know in advance that these words of mine will go quite unnoticed.
Until the moment someone takes the Vanquish in their hands and goes to the real harsh terrain in search of the smallest valuable finds.
As for others "vertical" ones:
who do they make these detectors for? For total idiots without a gram of brain?
Those funny nonsensical icons on that vertical LCD are the height of comedy!
Will I be playing Tetris on the field or searching for coins?
"Park" mode, "This" mode, "That" mode... factory presets... confusing stupid icons.
Is it a Nokta, is it a Minelab, is it a new Cscope, is it a comet in the sky... no wait, it's a super mouse!
A friend of mine who has an Equinox 800... spends 80% of his time in the field "deciphering" the right settings to find a few coins.
He's constantly changing something in the menus, he's constantly resetting something, he's constantly confused and he's constantly skipping valuable targets!
During this time I am in a total state of relaxation and meditation with the Vanquish, just walking, breathing fresh mountain air and collecting valuable finds.
It's the same story with a colleague who has XP Deus II. Constant struggle with menus, options, settings...
"Park" mode in some Western "neverland" countries is not the same as "Park" mode in Serbia, Greece, Italy, etc.
"Beach" mode in the Mediterranean is not the same as "Beach" mode in Hawaii.
Etc... you get where this story is going.
It is totally stupid and counterproductive to burden the machine with such "presets".
Most users will be further confused by this mode.
LCD icons that "make it easier" to understand... are actually totally nebulous and make the whole story difficult.
Huge LCD, enough pixels to print clear text options in a very nice font... and yet they still draw Minecraft & Tetris "blocks" instead?!
Should we make them go back to school again and give them some of the White's Eagle detectors as an educational example?
An example of how to design a very good and logical UI.
As with other consumer electronics of mass use... everything slowly boils down to stupidity.
Dumbing down otherwise less and less educated generations.
Aren't "smart" cell phones enough for this task?
Dealing with metal detectors nowadays is 90% playing Tetris and Minecraft... so it seems to me.
