  • Mosfet

    Hi all,
I want to make a metal detector which it has a P-Mos transistor,
But I do not reach to any P-channel Mosfet.
Can I use a N-Mos instead of it?(I want to connect the Drain of the N-Mos to the +VB and set the coil between the Source and -VB)

    Regards

Bad idea this will destroy N-MOS

No, but you probably could substitute a high-voltage PNP transistor, e.g., TIP30, 2N2955, etc.

        Thank you Carl!
        I have a MJ2955 and one IRF9520.
        Which one is better?

          P MOSFET

          Hi 1843,

          I use IRF9640, its a 200 volt P channel.

The following link will take you to the datasheet download.
