  • Water proofing a Whites IDX and DFX machine

Hello long time lurker, first time posting.
I have an ask of the electronics gurus on here.
I have skewered the internet and this forum for the information I'm looking for.

I have a Whites IDX pro and a DFX. I'm going to turn both into water proof Beach /water machines as i can no longer bend over to dig dirt targets ( lower back fused L6 to L3 )

On the IDX I'm going to do the Mr Bill mods but i want to install water proof potentiometer s and replace the existing pots while I'm at it.
So I'm looking for the specifications on the original pots.

On the DFX I'm looking for the coil cable specifications .
I have several DFX coils but don't really want to cut the cable to figure it out as they are in very good shape and i know that whites had it made for them ( based on reading this forum)
Looking for gage ,number of shielded pairs ,shield type . etc.
I have the cable specs for the IDX and have read about using microphone cable.

My plan is to separate the control boxes and wear them on my body .
I have frozen shoulder injuries so I'm going to carbon fiber shafts and I'm trying to make the swing part as light as possible.

I have a machine shop and have some experience soldering components.

so if anyone has this information or could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.
    Thank you Old Griz.
