  • Slide to null?

    Funny thing, while taking a look at the coil details of the compass liberty concentric search coil, I noticed it says "slide to null". Now I know that the Rx and Tx coils do not necessarily have to be co-centered. But I didn't think that you could move the Rx and buck coils around in order to achieve a close to null condition. What does "slide to null" mean?

    Assuming it's slightly undernulled, moving the RX/BX windings around the interior of the TX will vary the TX coupling and fine-null the coil. But it also moves the center of detection.
