    Has anyone tried the AD542.

    This OpAmp haves 60nV/sqr Hz voltage noise at 10Hz and very little current noise. At 1KHz, voltage noise is 14nV/sqr Hz.
    These parameters make this OpAmp suitable only for front end stage in VLF type metal detectors. For PI metal detectors even for bipolar type, this OpAmp is not suitable.

      GBW is only 1MHz, way too low for a PI preamp and even for VLF. Probably would work well in a sampling integrator.
