  • @NĂ¡ndor :
Do you have the coil connected ?
If not, the oscillator won't run and you can burn the transistors in the negative voltage generator.

Hi,i am trying to build this "
TGSL - complete details - version 3" and i don't have scope, but when i measure voltages in IC pins i get +7.8-8 on pin 4 and -2.2 on pin 8. I think that negative voltage is not enough right?

        • @NĂ¡ndor : Right. You should be around -6V. Check transistors on negative supply.

According to your measurements, your supply voltages are crossed over. You should have a positive supply on pin 8, and a negative supply on pin 4, not the other way round. I suggest you check this first before investigating why certain voltages seem a bit low.

Do you have access to an oscilloscope?

                  • Hi, no i have no scope but i have pc scope. How can i use it properly? It's good?

                    • Best thing to do might be to download the TSGL 101.zip document under the TGSL complete details section. From there you can troubleshoot your board by comparing what you see at different test points.
