That is correct. This is the discrimination potentiometer.

K1, K2, K3, is the switch to the Disc and All Metal modes. K1 and K3 are connected to pins on the switch side, and K2 is connected to the central pin of the switch.

The LM308 can be damaged, or placed upside down. Try a new IC. Before turning on the detector, the coils must be connected. You have to measure the voltage 8V and 6.2 V. Greetings.
