    Hi
    It is very beautiful !!
What kind of materials is the body of the device (handle, interface tube from the antenna to the handle of the device, etc.)?
Have you put the main board on the antenna?
    Thank you

    • I completed this project without using oscilloscope!!
      just with a simple multimeter!!
      very very easy!!!!!!!!!!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eEQmZNyUJo4

          Two ways:
First, set to Disc mode and disc pot just below foil.
1- use a small piece of ferrite, I use a core from an adjustable RF coil.
Wave the ferritte over the coil and increase the GB pot until the TGSL doesn't beep. Then wave a silver coil over the coil. the TGSL must respond to the silver. If not then the GB pot is turned too far so back it off.

2- In the field with minerialized soil. Pump the coil up and down gently, don't bump the coil onto the ground. The TGSL should not beep. If it beeps then increase the GB pot until it does not beep. Then sweep coil over a silver coil to ensure it still detects silver.

Note: the GB pot is very, very sensitive. If using a one turn pot it only takes a very small fraction of a mm turn.

          • you still need the oscilloscope for an optimal adjustment .. you have very little range .. with mine moneta and ring at 40 cm .. the adjustment of rx must be 20 degrees to the right of tx with the oscilloscope ..

              • the balance on ground is doing in ALL METAL mode (PINPOINTING). i dot not see waltr mentioned this.

when the separation mode works correctly
Is this not enough for coil nulling?????

i tried with frrite correctly you can see it in this video
but when i move the loop, my device makes noise!!!!!!

Now I can't remember which mode I used to set GB pot.
It could have been in All Metal but switch to Disc to check it still responds to a silver coin.

Yes, a 10-15 turn pot will make adjustment easier. However it needs to be 100kOhm (104) not 1kOhm (102).

                          • I have a question about U 103. Why was a cheap LM358 installed in such an important node? Can you use something better there? For example from a series of MCP or TL

                              That is the GB pot.

                              It works...

                              • I understand what works. But 358 is a very noisy op amp. Replacing with another should improve the performance of the device. I'll try to do it at home
