This guy that I know who is loose with his money, bought a Nexus on Ebay just a few weeks old. On his third trip out with it he decided to call into a large shopping center at Bluewater in Kent. He wanted to pick up a copy of Treasure Hunting magazine to see if there was any advice on how to use the Nexus has he was not having much luck with it. He also wanted to get a bottle of horse oil for his wife’s thighs ( she plays women’s rugby at the weekends). Anyway the stupid fool left the Nexus on the back seat of his car. You can almost guess what happened next. When he returned to his car with the magazine and the horse oil, he could see some broken glass on the floor. Has he got closer to his car his worst fears were to come true. He looked through the broken window to discover that some RAT or SCUMBAG had broken his rear window and put another Nexus on the back seat. Now he is stuck with two.

SAD TALE
I WISH THAT WOULD HAPPEN TO ME!!!! All I get is broken detectors!!! From what I've gathered the Nexus is a very high quality, deep-seeking instrument. If a Newbie or Novice got one I could understand the frustration. This is a very Professional Instrument and it needs to be used in the hands of a Professional! Also some people are reluctant to dig very deep holes or to rent a backhoe! With this instrument, the faint-hearted need not apply! Also an instrument like this cannot be mastered in a few short lessons , it may take at least months.....................................!!!.... ..........HH............Joe

Sorry Joe, I am an attourney and it just my nature to point out flaws in arguments
Actually I have heard both good and bad things. I have never personally used a Nexxus so I do not have an opinion one way or the other. You could have substituted any brand in the first post and I would have still found it witty. Form what I have read people either love them or loath them.

There hasn't been a Nexus on eBay for a few months. It's very unusual to see one advertised secondhand.
If your friend needs a copy of the manual, then he only needs to go the Nexus website to download it.

RE:SAD TALE
Sorry but if you had substituted Bounty Hunter, Whites, Detectron, for example, I never would have responded!!! I'm amused why the name "Nexus" was chosen!!! I guess that I am just sensitive cause if money was no object, I would have one with all the coils. I would also live in a Castle in Europe with a moat with Alligators And have a Porche to drive over the drawbridge! I would have so much money that I would have a Special Room for it so I could roll in it at least 3 times a day!!! I would have so much money that I would have a staff of Electronic Engineer's to build me the perfect Vintage Detector and this model would change monthly!! I would have so much money that my Supermodel Girlfriend would also change monthly!!..................But back to reality I guess that the "Nexus" is just a "DREAM DETECTOR"................at least for now!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........HH.........Joe

I am new at this forum and disappointed to see that this forum is not about chatting about metal detectors.
I bought a Nexus a few months ago and if someone should be so kind to give me another one, I'll be grateful since it's so difficult to get a Nexus with the long waiting list. Who's the guy who got the Nexus, he can contact me on [email protected]
It's the best and deepest detector I've used, I can imagine all the nasty comments are from people who either don't have the knowledge to learn how to work with a professional detector, or they are perhaps competitors in disguise.
