  • For Joe(tx) Marauder XV Tuning

Well Joe I'm back, tried your tuning tips. They were fine, but found out that the tunning pot.was bad. Ever try to find a 30u short shaft, long legged, 320 degree, carbon pile pot. Not easy. Any way it is replaced and working. Now I'm ready for the rest of the instruction. I have another picture hope it helps. Thanks in advance for your trouble. Sysgrade

BH MARAUDER XV ALL METAL MODE

Sysgrade, Its been a while since our last post! I went back to the old post to see what areas that we covered! We covered the discriminate mode very well, so now we will cover the All-Metal mode! Turn the detector on and hold the searchcoil away from any metals! Select the all-metal mode. Push the retune button on the end of the handle and hold it in. Turn the tuning knob until you reach the threshold sound! Release the retune button. Now lower the searchcoil to the ground. (The ground needs to be metals free!) If the sound increases, turn the ground adjust knob to the left. I don't remember if this is a ten-turn or single turn control! Turn it to the left for one full rotation (for ten-turn) or one section at a time if it is single turn. Retune and lower the coil again, keep doing this until the threshold stays the same! Now, if you lowered the coil to the ground and the sound decreases, turn the ground adjust knob to the right . Continue like stated before and keep rotating the ground adjust knob until the threhold sound stays the same! The All- Metals mode is very sensitive so you can keep the coil 2 to 5 inches off the ground! Once you encounter a target, you can use the retune button to detune the target to reduce its size for pinpointing! Now go find some treasure and report it to me pronto...................Joe

      Fantastic Machine

Joe(tx), Thank You so very much for the instruction for the Marauder XV, they worked perfect. Attached is a photo of some treasures I found in about a 2 hours search time at a play ground near my home. The car was around 8" deep, the quarters between 4 to 6". Penny's, nickels, dimes all around 4 to 5". This thing is really a great machine. No motion All metal, and No motion Discrimination.Everything about it works just as one would expect if new. Course you know this is not really a Bounty Hunter, it's a Teknetics. Can't understand why Carl sold it? Thank You again!
