566 replacement

Is there other function generator to use in place of 566 8pin DIP.
Maxim don`t make 038 anymore, since 2 years & no more stock.
Philips no got? looks like one has to use many parts now to do job that one did before??

I'm pretty sure you can still buy the ICL8038.

Yes thanks Carl, but problema, not 8pin, not recommended for new designs (going the way of dinosaur), & price is quite a shock when 566 & 8038 compared (~$20)

I guess could get 8038 and piggy back IC connectors connecting relevant pins, maybe work maybe not. But would need abit of hotglue to secure inplace as would have 14pin socket riding on 8pin.
