You could try "The Advanced Handbook on Modern Metal Detectors" By Charles L. Garrett. The ISBN is 0-915920-49-2
Chapter 16 is called "Pulse Induction Metal Detector Short Course".
There's also a book in German called "Ortungstechnik fur Profis" by Wolfgang Schuler. The ISBN is 3-00-004076-5
