Actually this looks like a transmitter tuned to 73khz and strangely modulated , and receiver for an unknow frequency (we dont have coil diameter), but probably around 100Mhz.Im sure it works fine for "detecting" a lot of FM stations.
In the text i see i coin at 1 meter?
Regards,
Fred
Hi,
yes something like this... the receiver is like field strenght indicators of low quality. I've seen at least 10 on old DIY radio magazines... mostly as "rainy afternoon" projects... also with just transistors: stuff of the 70's.
I think then whole thing cannot detect metals underground at any depth... even only 1cm.
It's just another dream for folks who like thinking possible finding 1coin at 1meter underground.
BTW before dug 1m depth hole I wanna know value of coin first ... and cause these LRLs are magic why don't they put also some glass sphere on front panel to guess item value before dig ? Something like the solar calculator of RTs ... another funny gadget like the one below.
Hi Max and Fred Yes ,what is you said was true. In transmitter ,LC tank tune to ~73khz And another subject, this frequency can not emitted by short antenna .
You know, i think this schematic is the most interesting we have ever seen here:it is the closest to one of mineoro´s devices !!
Fred
Hi,
do you mean the germanium diode there ?
Yes there are some strange contacts between it and some pictures posted here in other threads. But I think it's about basic LRL maybe from a magazine then replicated in similar way by some fake manifacturer of funny gizmos.
