Two box detector VVLF??

Since it's darn cold outside I've been thinking of building a very very low frequency two box detector. Has any one tried to operate at or about 1KHZ? Thinking it should be good for median to large objects at greater depths and not bothered by smaller items near the surface. Input welcome. Charles

If you will search at forum, there is the T/R Locator from Sevzirfo.
It work at 2Khz.

Dear Charles (if u r real Charles)
As per one manufacturer in India, 2box TxRx works fine with a ferrite rod both at RX and TX front ends....just a wire loop of 10's of turns (may be 40) is not sufficient.

Round or square?

I've seen both, however most have not been round. As far as size I guess it has a lot to do with tx/rx seperation, tx power and receiver gain and the ability to balance the two loops. I have wondered just what a system with 3 or 4-ft diameter loops seperated by 6 or more ft. would work as far as the depth and the smalles object that it would detect. May be some one has tried and will tell us about it. Charles

para detectar las paredes del hoyo, he oido que manera llevando las cajas muy separadas entre dos personas se puede detectar con gran profundidad, hasta 15 metros?
