Uh, remember this yoyo (on photo)???
I took it several times with me on the field. Always hate it more and more.
It is so loud advertised detector, probably the champion of advertisements!
I have no reson not to beleive in all those field tests. But, my experience (not so rich) is far from good.
I was thinking, must be that i do not know how to use it.No other explanation. Claimed to be really sensitive and good detector, probably one of the best ever. So i decided to take it again with me on the field, tomorrow(monday).
    It is shamefull to admit here ( do think that am very experienced) but i finally discovered what could be possible source of my bad results with this one;
Those "reversed" australian minds put Sensitivity pot totally logically reversed than usuall pots whose going clockwise!
So finally, after so many nerved days of "shallow" detections i realized (today) that just after "Auto" sensitivity point, turning and switching manual Sens ON, first is highest level of Sensitivity!!!!
As it is turned clockwise Sensitivity level goes lower and lower!!???
    Totally reversed than conventional!!!!!
    Damn! Damn!
To be honest here, guys from Minelab did draw very clear and understendable pattern which show obvious path to adjust level of sensitivity arround Sens pot on front panel. Only blind man can not notice that.
That blind man was I, all the time!
I never payed attention on that, since i am considered as very experienced and "master" prospector! Like hell i am!
So again it is shamefull to admit, but i do admit here, i worked all the time with this yoyo, adjusted at lowest possible Sensitivity, without knowing that.
I was so confused many times when tested it and couldnt detect coin under 10-15cm with it! Damn!
I thought; "What the hell they talking about here, this is most shallow detector i ever saw in my life....Sovereign...bull!"
Ok laugh now.....i would laugh on somebody else.

Ok, now, my point is to aske here about some tips when working with GT.
Anybody have some tip how to adjust it for best performances?
    Any extra experiences..?
    Regards!

          I have one.

What type of detecting are you doing? What type of soil, what objects are you looking for?

Works good in trashy iron areas, but you have to go sloooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, or you will never find much. A five inch coil is a must in trashy areas.

              It is true...

              Reffering tips; THANKS.
I noticed it need slow walk and "sniff" carefullly. Damn! It is not for me. I am used to run arround with fast motion detectors.
I am having Tornado 24cm coil with it.
What really bugging me is that "escaping" audio on it. Need quite oposite philosophy than on most of other detectors. Everything here is "reversed".
I will need at least week to get along with this beast...
              RRRhhhhhh!

GT is best. #1. not TURN ON & GO, but kinda BUY IT & FORGET ANOTHER detector.

In my case it will be: "Buy it & Forget it...somewhere.."

KT315 i am joking of course. I agree GT is very special. Only i am not still used on it. I am really used on fast motion detectors. Only one non motion i liked much - was CScope 1220B. One and only! The rest were motions mostly.
I dont have nervs to stand some where and pationatelly snif the ground for hours. Usually i walk huge area in no time.
But...it is time to eventually change some habbits...
                  I will see...
                  Regards!
